In 1889, founders of the Bethany Methodist Family built Bethany Retirement Community (BRC) on our Chicago Campus. Based on the Good Samaritan Story in Christian Scripture, BRC’s 125+ year mission has been to serve the health and residential needs of older adults of all faiths, many of whom lack resources for their own care.
In faithfulness to our history and to expand our mission, we have initiated a capital campaign: "Sharing Our Stories and Our Songs: The Next 125." Our goal is to raise $1.5 million to renovate and enhance BRC, which is home to 130 seniors and a center from which we address the physical, social and spiritual needs of our Andersonville/Ravenswood neighbors.
We have an exciting vision for our community and our neighborhood as we move into the next 125 years, and we invite you to join us in making this vision become a reality. We need your support for Phase I of our campaign, which will consist of renovating the first floor. Plans include:
